Why Organizations Partner With Finance Education Project

Retirement plans are a significant employee benefit, but offering the benefit is only one part of the equation. Employees also need opportunities to learn what their plan offers, how its features work, and what the terminology means.Finance Education Project provides comprehensive retirement plan education, led by someone whose role is to teach employees how their workplace retirement plans work.Through live, beginner-friendly workshops, I take the complex details employees encounter in their retirement plans and turn them into practical lessons they can easily follow. Organizations can offer their employees meaningful retirement plan education without having to create the curriculum, develop the presentation, or dedicate internal staff to teaching it.

Meet Your Presenter: DeDe Dixon

Hi, I'm DeDe, founder of the Finance Education Project. Over the past two years, I've assisted more than 15,000 employees with their retirement plans. Throughout my experience, I observed the same problem in every organization:Employees want to understand their retirement plans, but there is a gap between having access to information and learning how to utilize it.Summary plan descriptions and other plan documents provide the details employees need, but they can be lengthy and difficult to work through. As a result, much of what employees know about retirement plans comes from conversations with family, friends, coworkers, or outside professionals. This information can vary widely, and may not always apply to the employee's specific plan.I created the Finance Education Project to provide the missing piece: the human side of retirement plan education. My mission is to take the technical information contained in retirement plan documents and turn it into engaging, practical education led by an expert who can explain the terminology, provide context, and answer the questions employees are often left to figure out on their own.
